ABOUT CHELSA

Woman dressed elegantly, sitting on a white couch.

Hi, I’m Chelsa.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what you're feeling even the parts you aren't proud of, haven't figured out yet, or aren't quite sure how to put into words.

I'll listen, but I won't just sit back and nod. I'll ask questions, help you slow things down, and sometimes challenge you to look at a situation differently. Not because I'm here to tell you what to do, but because understanding yourself is only part of the work. Eventually, we have to figure out what you want to do with what you understand.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you come to therapy. We can start with where you are.

How I approach therapy

Therapy with me is a balance of having space to be heard and being willing to do something with what we uncover. I want you to feel comfortable being honest, but I also want our work together to help you move forward.

I’LL LISTEN

You need room to say what you’re actually thinking and feeling without worrying about saying it perfectly.

WE’LL GET CURIOUS

We’ll slow things down and look at what happened, what you know, what you assumed, and what may be influencing how you respond.

I’LL CHALLENGE YOU

Kindly and directly. Sometimes growth means looking at the part you may not want to look at—and practicing something different.

A little more about me

I’ve spent much of my career supporting people through seasons when life felt complicated, uncertain, or simply heavier than they expected.

Before private practice, my work included supporting children and families, supervising other professionals, and training clinicians and staff. Those experiences taught me something I still carry into therapy today: people are complicated, relationships are complicated, and rarely is the whole story found in one person’s version of what happened.

Over the years, I’ve learned that I really enjoy helping people slow things down, look at situations from a different perspective, and figure out what they actually have the power to change.

And outside of the therapy room, I have a full life too. I’ve been married for more than 20 years and have two adult children. I love traveling, trying new restaurants (I’m definitely a foodie), and I’m always up for karaoke. My faith is also an important part of who I am. I value family, laughter, good conversation, and enjoying life along the way.
